Well my prompt was "glow". I had two ideas, but in Gene's typical fashion, she insisted this one be first. Spoiled brat. Anyway, I finally did a piece with Gene's sutures in it. She had her hands cut off (why they're tiny and delicate) and her throat slit as a child. The suture marks never faded. I got the idea to put her in this corrupted looking madonna pose (not the pop star, the mother of god.) because of her strange relationship with religion. She was raised by her mother to be a good catholic girl, but her stepfather told her she was demon spawn. Now that she fully knows her vampiric nature, she feels torn. She thinks of herself as a monster, but wants to honor her mother's traditions. So she continually seeks penance for her "sins" and at the same time is compelled to satisfy her inner blood lust. I'm not really sure what kind of light Gene is bathed in. Whether its the light of god or something else.
